Little Athletics Noosa runs a canteen on each competition night to provide athletes and their families with food and drink. Together with fund-raising BBQs held throughout the year, the Canteen is a major source of income for our club each season.
Funds raised go towards the purchase of new equipment and also towards subsidising the cost of our athletes attendance at regional, state and national events.
How parents can help
We love to have as many parent helpers as we can to assist either on the field or in running the canteen. To make this fair and equitable, we draw up a roster for parents in each age group to help us out on every Friday night throughout the season.
It is a requirement for each family to volunteer at least once during the season when it is your child’s age groups’ turn to volunteer in the canteen. Official Age Managers are exempt from this requirement.
Please note: there will always be a rostered committee member in the canteen each Friday night to assist parents.
